Monterey County Children’s Health Outreach for Insurance, Care and Enrollment (MC-CHOICE) Program is committed to promote outreach, enrollment, retention, and utilization of the Medi-Cal program benefits for families throughout Monterey County.

To expand and strengthen our partnerships with community and faith-based organizations, school districts, health clinics, and other public agencies that are dedicated to improving access to health coverage and the overall well-being of children and families in Monterey County.


What MC-CHOICE can do for you!

Outreach workers will help families to:

  • Enroll children in the Medi-Cal program.
  • Retain their Medi-Cal benefits.
  • Assist families to complete Medi-Cal renewals.
  • Refer familes to other local agencies for services.
  • Provide general information on applying for Covered California.
  • Referred Families to Certified Covered California Enrollment Agencies.

Self-Service Option Now Available

Utilize the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System by dialing 1-866-323-1953 to: obtain benefit amounts,check the status of your case, request forms, get worker contact information, and obtain office hours and locations.

You will need your case number and Personal Identification Number (PIN) to access the IVR system.  If you don't have a PIN, the IVR system will provide instructions on how to get your PIN.
